We have had the pleasure of working with William Morfoot for the past 18 months on the Hornsea 3 onshore cable route where they have done both design and delivery of the land drainage for 54km. The way the teams have performed has been impressive with a very positive attitude to safety and the environment with a can do attitude. They are definitely a solution based company that I would work with again and recommend!
Peter Chartier, Volker Fitzpatrick, Project Director for the Hornsea 3 Onshore Cabling Works
William Morfoot Ltd conducted their work in a professional, safe, and efficient manner. The team collaborated well with archaeologists, adapting working methods to accommodate pre-works investigations. A good sign of restoration works is the sense that it isn’t constructed and there is a sense of immediate naturalness. William Morfoot have achieved this with subtle design tweaks (dressing bunds) and creation of irregular finished profiles. The Cranes have already moved in!

A big thank you to William Morfoot for successfully delivering their turnkey land drainage solution for VolkerFitzpatrick on the Hornsea 3 onshore cable route project. The 52km scheme crossed three district councils in Norfolk and around 100 land plots, with works carried out all year-round to align with the main programme for our Client, Ørsted. William Morfoot’s design team carefully considered the unique needs of each plot, while their installation team consistently delivered high-quality work - rain or shine. At VolkerFitzpatrick, we set high standards in Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality – standards that William Morfoot share. From day one, William Morfoot showed a strong commitment to these values, and we’ve been thoroughly impressed by their proactive approach and thirst for continuous improvement.

Their continued cooperation, support, and commitment to maintaining high standards onsite are truly commendable. Please thank your team for their dedication and hard work.

William Morfoot Ltd impressed me from day one of the contract. The staff are professional, highly knowledgeable and very helpful. Having a good contractor on site, especially when the site is an important National Nature Reserve, instils confidence, and you know that the job will be completed to a high standard.

Yield data provided by our clients has shown that comprehensively drained land is showing a typical average increase in yield of between 25-35%. Put another way, it’s increasing yields from 8.5t⁄ha to 11t⁄ha. This represents a big increase on the bottom line with your investment in land drainage delivering year after year, for the lifetime of the scheme. It’s not a bad investment when you think of it that way!
