We are delighted to have recently completed a major rural estate trackway restoration project, helping to improve access across a busy working farm and residential estate.
The existing track had become heavily worn over time, with significant potholing and surface deterioration causing standing water, difficult driving conditions and ongoing maintenance issues. The route serves a number of residential properties alongside an active farmyard, making durability and long-term performance a key priority for the project.
To provide a lasting solution, a full reconstruction of the trackway was carried out from the ground up.
The works began with deep ripping of the existing consolidated surface, allowing our team to fully rework and reprofile the track foundations. By breaking up the old compacted material, we were able to reshape the track correctly and significantly improve its long-term stability and drainage performance.

A new camber was then introduced along the full length of the track to encourage effective water shedding away from the running surface. Works were also completed along the track edges to further improve drainage and reduce future standing water issues.
As part of the reconstruction process, our specialist trackway recycling machine was used to grade the scarified aggregate to a consistent size. This created a smooth, durable and even surface capable of handling regular vehicle movements while improving overall ride quality and drainage efficiency.
The completed project has transformed the usability of the route, providing a far more durable, practical and comfortable surface for both residential and agricultural traffic.
