The William Morfoot Ltd team would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who visited our stand at this year’s Cereals Event, held for the first time in the beautiful Cotswolds at Diddly Squat Farm.
Over the two-day event, we had the pleasure of meeting both new and existing customers, discussing land drainage solutions, agricultural challenges and opportunities, and sharing insights into how effective drainage continues to support modern farming businesses. We also were pleased to talk with future clients about upcoming water management and environmental projects – with water in general being a hot topic for visitors to our stand over the course of the 2 days.
The weather certainly gave us a true taste of the British summer! Day one brought bright sunshine and warm temperatures, creating ideal conditions for visitors and exhibitors alike. In contrast, day two saw near wash-out conditions, but despite the rain, spirits remained high and there was still plenty of interest across the showground.
While at Cereals, it was great to spot some familiar faces from Diddly Squat Farm, including Kaleb Cooper, Jeremy Clarkson and Lisa Hogan, who all helped contribute to the fantastic atmosphere throughout the event.
We were also delighted to see Cheerful Charlie in the Land Drainage Demonstration Area, where he delivered an engaging talk on the importance of land drainage in modern farming systems. His passion and expertise highlighted just how crucial effective drainage remains for improving soil health, increasing productivity, and building resilience against increasingly unpredictable weather conditions.
As Cereals made its debut in the Cotswolds, the event provided an excellent opportunity to connect with farmers, contractors and industry professionals from across the country. It was particularly rewarding to meet many new faces while also catching up with longstanding customers and friends of William Morfoot Ltd.
