Investing for the future

2020 has seen our business take delivery of a number of new excavators to assist with future projects we are involved in.  The specialised nature of earthworks and water management that our teams typically undertake has meant that we had a specialist set of requirements to satisfy when selecting these machines.  Integrated GPS was considered a core requirement and as this is cutting edge technology which has only recently been released, we were pleased to find exactly what we were looking for in the form of these Volvo machines.

The requirement for GPS was 2 fold.  Firstly, it allows our projects to be completed more safely without the need for a banksman to be working in close proximity to the machines – checking levels and standing within the work zone whilst excavations are being undertaken.  Secondly, it has allowed us to deliver our projects with greater efficiency without any compromising on the accuracy of what is being done.

Precision is key for a lot of our work within water management and the ability to excavate to the correct depth wherever we are working is an invaluable aid to our teams.  The pinpoint accuracy has also caught the attention of our clients who are aware of the exact and concise requirement that we have to deliver on our water management projects.

The excavators will be used across all of our projects in including land drainage, ditching, environmental and wetland creation and also earthworks/reservoir construction.

This business expansion has been supported by New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership, through the Growing Business Fund.  Their assistance has allowed us to continue to develop our business in response to the growing demand for the services we offer across our customer base.
