Solar Farm Development
Our expertise in providing trenching equipment for specialist cable laying activities is proving popular with many developers in the renewable sector.
Along the south coast it was no different. William Morfoot Ltd was appointed to carry out a land drainage surveying project on a 130 acre site which was gearing up for solar panel installation.
The land owners were naturally anxious to ensure the land was not irreparably damaged by the installation of renewables infrastructure so we carried out comprehensive land drainage surveys for the land agents, developers and landowners.
Our survey recorded the age, condition and precise position of existing land drainage infrastructure so that foundations for solar panels and wind turbines avoided damaging this important underground apparatus.
Our experienced team traced and located existing land drains and the findings were recorded on GPS surveying equipment before being plotted on a digital ordnance survey plan.
These plans were then submitted to land owners and developers along with a detailed report of the survey findings which enabled both parties to have confidence in the way the project was developed.
